Whatever it is, putting you in control of your fertility can make all the difference.

Contraception and pregnancy choices

  • Various medical devices and supplies on a blue background, including a nasal spray bottle, blister packs with pills, a silicone ring, a small needle with a safety cover, and other small medical components.

    Reversible contraception.

Whilst your GP may manage your contraception needs there are circumstances where a women’s health specialist may be beneficial.

  • A surgeon in scrubs, wearing a face mask, glasses, and a surgical cap, adjusts a surgical light overhead in an operating room.

    Permanent contraception.

Many women for various reasons would like to remove their ability to conceive naturally via removal of their fallopian tubes. Whilst other methods exist (clamping, burning and partial removal) Dr Baxter advises complete removal due to the lower rates of contraceptive failure, complications and reduced lifetime ovarian cancer risk.

Dr Baxter is a firm believer in patient autonomy and does not believe patient regret, age or other circumstances should alter their ability to exercise bodily autonomy in deciding on their contraction options.

  • Protesters holding signs advocating for women's health, trust in women, and abortion rights, wearing face masks.

    Pregnancy choices.

Dr Baxter believes in women having the choice and agency to make decisions regarding their body and fertility. This extends to accessing medical and surgical terminations.

Dr Baxter will generally provide this care without any out of pocket expense.
